PROFILE OF SUBHASH B.P.

I belong to the 1969 Electrical Branch.

I am a rolling stone. Immediately on getting out of our college I had organized `Qetcos', a co-operative Society of Engineers, Engineering Diploma holders and ITI holders. Here the employees were shareholders and owners of the Institution jointly with the Government of Kerala. I was the Chief Promoter and the first President till a Board of Directors nominated by the Government of Kerala took over the administration. I was a member of the Government nominated Board of Directors of `Qetcos' for 7 years. `Qetcos' was manufacturing Machine tools in technical collaboration with HMT Kalamassery.

Then I joined late in KSEB and worked there till I retired as Executive Engineer.

I was a member of the Board of Directors of the `Winsoft Aadvanced School of Information Technology' training Engineers in IT for 7 years.

I had worked for 2 years as an Electrical Consultant to the World Bank aided Kerala State Transport Project (KSTP) under the Kerala PWD.

Presently working as the Manager of the Mayyanad Higher secondary School (Our family School) where our present CP N Manilal was my classmate. Our School has about 2500 students and has now completed 93 years of glory.

I was the Secretary (for 3 years) and President (for 1 year) of the TKMCE Alumni Association, Trivandrum Chapter. During all these years of service, this was the period I enjoyed most.

Regarding my family, my wife is Dr R Jayalekshmi, retired as Professor of Pathology from Medical College, Trivandrum. My daughter Geethi is a Speech Pathologist married to Dr Arun Mohan. My son has completed his B Tech in CET, in Applied Electronics and is working in IBM, Bangalore for the past 1year.
